Breeder's Description - 'Shit'
|
An absolute classic and original Skunk/Afghani that has won many awards. It is a sure-bet for first time cultivators of interior, exterior, or glasshouse grown plants. The yield will be extremely substantial, with expectations between 550-650 grams per square metre. The finishing time will be within 45 days of the flowering's first appearance on the plant. Expect harvest in late September to early October in the northern hemisphere and in the southern hemisphere by the end of April. A proven true breed since the 80's.

I popped 15 seed. Of these, 11 germed, 4 didn't make it past the cotyledon stage and the rest were all fems. This strain is VERY stable - there were no obvious differences between the females. I grew a cutting from each on one NFT tray and if they weren't mine I would not have known they were from different mums.
Cuttings root fairly easily, nothing more than good basic care needed. Roots show through the 1" rockwool cubes within a week, and I get pretty much 100% success.
A 4" clone takes about 3 weeks to reach 12". I would suggest this as a good flowering height indoors. Supercropping the plants to 4 or so main leads before they reach this height works really well, and if you feel confident apply the stem twisting extra. It helps carry the weight of the huge colas! The plant can be a little branchy, but internodal spacing is pretty tight once it's had a little burst during preflower.
The buds begin to show clearly about 2 weeks after switching to 12/12. I didn't bother removing any of the lower thinner side branches, and the tiny buds, along with the trim, made for some great bubble. The colas didn't seem to suffer at all. Finished height about 2.5 times the height at start of flowering.
The plants are easy to trim once harvested, and the trichome frosted leaves can be well utilised (cannabutter is also a good option). The buds are dense, although not rock hard, and are elongated rather than popcorn sized.
The smoke is one of the nicest I've had. Although it is a litlle bit couchy if you let it, you can also bounce off it quite nicely and get into having a good time indoors or out. A very sociable smoke indeed, and leaves a happy trail.

Afghani/Skunk cross. Nice, easy to grow strain. As my cultivation knowledge and experience are both limited, I have grown enough to know what I like: and I like this strain. Of 10 seeds germinated, 1 did not make it. Of the remaining 9, 6 were females.
Plants seemed a little slow at first in veg stage, but made up for lost time during flowering. Plants grew untopped and produced gorgeous colas. Classic donky dick pattern, very bushy at the base of the cola. Only a couple plants made it to harvest, thanks to an inquizative kitty that got locked in the room for about 4 hours. Shit turned out to be a good yielder. About 3 1/2 oz per plant cured. (Well, thats good for me!) After final curing, it was a surprise to smoke this plant. She has a wonderful, semi-couch lock buzz, that lasts for hours. Good yield, great smell, great high and all for $35.00 US from Seeds Direct. This strain is a bargain at twice the price. I am happy to have taken clones and still enjoy her today!
Good luck. She really is good Shit!

Mr. Nice Shit was my first experience with buying seeds and growing. The germ rate on these was 100% on 10 seeds. The male/female ratio so far has been 60%male/40%female out of 10 seeds. Mr. Nice Shit is extremely easy to grow and withstood my newbie abuse. Starts blooming right away and although the yield definitely suffered from the first grow; I was still able to finish these without major difficulties. The second run from seed went much smoother and the yield doubled. I got almost 3oz. from one FIMed plant that finished at 24". Went in at about 18". So there isn't a whole lot of stretch in 12/12. FIMed or topped Shit plants yielded more verses the single cola.
I've had some deficiency problems cloning Mr. Nice Shit; the older (more mature) they get the more nutes they require and while staying short likes to produce an abundance of foliage if FIMed or topped and bush out (untouched tops grow better for horizontal space restrictions). Shit has been a big demander of root space (lots of root growth for all that foliage).
The clones require much attention in my grow room or they start to show bad signs right away. Always the first clones to show nute def. and so far the first to attract the pests. Grew heartier/stronger when grown from seed. I harvested at 42 days with a level 5 potency and at 60 days with a level 8 potency (started to show bananas at day 50).
This is what I call a "manly smoke" (my man loves it). It's spicy and a little harsh to smoke, extremely pungent in smell and very skunky. The stone brings on the couch lock and it will make you tired. Doesn't linger around for too long though. Great sleepy time smoke. Good commercial strain for the yield, and potency.

I am a soil grower. I use Superthrive, Pure Blend Grow and Alaskan Fish Ferts for veg; and Pure Blend Bloom, Fox Farm Bloom, Earth Juice Bloom, and Awesome Blossom for flowering.
Flowering room painted white is about 7' tall; 2.5' wide and 3' deep. I flower with an air-cooled 400w HPS with a 265cfm Dayton blower; and exhausted into my garage where it is then exhausted to the outside. I manually turn on the CO2 tank (once at lights on and once before lights off) and distribute about 25 seconds of CO2 to flowering plants through a 1" hose that has been inserted into the grow room from a hole at the top (tank on the outside). I use no CO2 during veg.

Very good strain. Easy grow for sure.
I germed 5 seeds and got 2 females out of the bunch. They were vegged for 4 weeks and then put in 12/12. Doubled in height from stretch in flower.
They stated budding within 5 days. They had a skunky smell early in flower that was only noticed while moving the plants around. The smell became more fruity as the grow continued.
The buds are nice and solid, covered in sticky trics. The taste is wonderful, very candy like. The high is excellent. These seeds are such a bargain, I'll order these again for sure.

Here is my latest grow/smoke report on Mr. Nice's SHIT. A very simple cross of Afghani x Skunk it should yield a decent amount of tasty bud. I germed 9 seeds (half the pack). From the 9 I got 7 sprouts. From the 7 sprouts I got 5 plants. 2 of the 5 didn't do well in veg and were culled. Leaving me with the 3 you see here. SHIT No2, my pick of the litter, turned out to be a man, so he was chopped last night after the pictures were taken. So looks like I'll have two SHIT girls to choose from.
SHIT is very fast flowering; these girls have been in just a week and are already packin it on. I have to different expressions of SHIT, one a very nice colomer growth structure (SHIT#1) and one very bushy (SHIT#3). I have put 2 clones of #1 in veg and one of #3, if SHIT is any good I'll flower some more
SHIT No1 is looking fantastic, at 3 weeks flower the top is about the size of a can of Red Bull, and is producing a strong musky, sweet smell. You can already see some pistils turning color, talk about your fast finishers. SHIT No3 looks good, no problems to speak of. I think more pruning was necessary on this plant, as it has become quite busy, and no where near as thick as her sister. She does share the same great smell.
SHIT at week 5 looks like it has maxed out on height but seem to really be packing on the weight now. SHIT No3 looks to be about a week behind her sister, which looks like 10-14 more days to finish. The smell is strong, but not overpowering; I'd call it a sweet musk smell, leaning more towards the skunk parentage. This is one of the easiest strains I’ve grown yet, seeds were a little small and a couple didn’t germ, but the ones that made it have no problems, they are dark green, and healthy, with no special attention. SHIT can get bushy and No1 seems to have benefited from the added pruning it received
The No1 plant, the more dominant of the two, has reached peak potency so she got the yank. Trichome production is amazing, even the undersides of the fan leaves are covered. Needless to say her trim will be going into the bubble bags soon 52 days is a short flower period in my book, so I'm sure I can make a home for her in the rotation, the compact size makes it perfect to fill in the holes between some of my larger plants. I must say this is one of the largest colas I've ever grown, combine that with the fact that it finished at about 26" and took all of 5 minutes to trim, making it a winner in my book. The smell is musty-sweet, I keep smellin my pits while I was trimming thinking I was kickin the BO, but it was the plant.... I swear!
Well looks like SHIT No2 is done. Took about 5 days longer than No1 and is the smaller of the two plants. Had a lot more veg growth on this one, which translates to a longer trim time. Yield is also decreased; I'd say that this plant is about an ounce lighter than No1. No real discernable difference between the two plants as far as smell and appearance goes.
I will continue to grow out the No1 for a while. It yielded about 3.5oz of dried, smelly, and sticky, bud. Initial smoke reports are positive SHIT has a very complex flavor, very floral almost like perfume. Not a sweet flavor, mustier. The smoke is smooth, doesn't burn the throat, even with uncured bud. The high is not overwhelming, about a 6. Good for wake-n-bake as it doesn't leave you sapped. A bit of a creeper, took a few minutes for the full effect to take hold. Due to the light heady nature of the high, it would be easy to smoke this all day. I'd agree that SHIT doesn’t have the punch of the "one hitter" strains. I'd also say that the quoted finish time of sub 50 days is off. Overall I'm happy with the strain, and you couldn't ask for an easier to grow plant.
Peace.
Hitman
