I had a bunch of seeds of three Hemcy varieties--alpha bud, inca spirit, and cali-o--but fungus gnat larvae ate all of them except a few survivors.
I have had a big problem with fungus gnats because my first batch of soil used manure and the bugs loved that shit.
I got no inca spirits, two slightly hermi cali-os, and a female alpha bud.
The Alpha Bud is very strong and nice spicy smoke. hard to explain, but it is sort of "middle eastern" in taste and smell.
Smells like a pier-one store or soemthing.
flowery more than citrus taste or smell.
If you do not FIM or top, you get a big compact bud that weighs 1/4 -1/2 oz.
This stuff is easy to grow, may be a little finicky about nutes/ph though.
My alpha bud seems susceptible to leaf burn and sometimes the leaves get chlorosis and die on the lower branches for no apparent reason--could be low light levels but none of my other strains do this...

water when dry--been trying to do a better job of this, I was over watering for a long time.
soil is the vic's supersoil recipe modified with stuff like coco-coir and tons of perlite.
I have fertilize with guano teas and fish emulsion.
I also put fertilizer into the soil sometimes using either "plantone" organic fertilizer mix or a mixture of high n guano, kelp meal, and high p guano.
I recently started using mychorrizae for all of my plants.
I have tried growing 8 plants in 3 gallon bags in the flower chmaber as well as SOG with 17 clones in 1 gallon grow bags.
The SOG is best for maximum flexibility with canopy maintainance.
seems to provide the most "trophy" buds...
The alpha bud always puts out big compact, solid buds. It doesn't stretch very much, and it seems to be a very good strain for those that like indicas of the NL sort...
Hemcy claims this weed is an aphrodisiac but if so it is a poor substitute for Viagra or MDMA.
This would be a good strain for those with insomnia or those that do not like paranoia inducing varieties
If you like Indicas, this one is nice, easy to grow and clone, and you get a nice yield of fat buds rather than small stringy ones.
