Breeder's Description - 'Dolce Vita'
|
Dolce Vita, is a F1- hybrid between two Sativas. We combined our renowned Power Plant, by using it's feminized "pollen" with an Isis female. In this variety the Isis characteristics are most outspoken. Very clear Sativa "high" and subtle taste and aroma. Medium yield of hard crystallized bud. Special. Allow two weeks for vegatative growth after the seedling has stabalized, then start flowering.

Flowered for 62 days, could have went a few more days.
This being a feminized strain I worried about getting some hermies. Well out of three plants harvested I guess there was a hermie somewhere because I got a very very small amount of seeds. I have found 1 seed out of 4 small buds so far. And looking at the rest I may end up with 50+ seeds out of several ounces. Not bad, I'll take that on any harvest with fems.
As far as the growing. DP's description makes them seem very sativa-ish. I found the plants grew to about 3' tall with wide leaves not thin. The Dolce Vitas were my hardest grow yet. Keeping up with her water and nute needs was a little wearing on a novice grower as myself. One thing I should have done was fed her more N during veg. As soon as flowering started she started pulling nutes from the bottom leaves right away.
I grew them to 62 days and ended with about 10% amber and the rest milky trichomes.
The taste.
Kind of sweet almost like menthol a nice taste really.
The smoke really expands in the lungs hard. This one had me coughing a bit more than others at first. After a 2 month cure the coughing is gone.
The high.
My three ladies each show a good 75-25 on head and body.
Now the high on this stuff is truly amazing. A few puffs and I just melt in my seat but my mind starts racing. In a 3 hour alone smoke session I have a hard time finishing a small joint. A few puffs and I totally forget I'm even smoking. What ever else I'm doing I get tranced into it. 30 minutes later I come down a little, couple of more puffs and zoom I am gone. To me this is a 10 on potency but I rated it as a 9 since I haven't grown but maybe 5 strains, but this blows them all away by far. I only have a handful of friends that I smoke with and each of them are in disbelief of the potency.
The look.
Bright green with nice amount of resin.
Any one thinking of growing this will not be disapointed.
